Iphone 5 won't turn on

Hi everybody,

my Iphone 5 refuses to turn on. If I charge it or if I connect to a computer the apple logo appears for approximately 3 seconds and then the screen goes black again for 3 seconds. That process continues, but the phone doesn't react to the buttons. Also, it does not appear in itunes.

Has anybody any ideas on how to deal with this situation?

Have you tried to reboot it? Hold the power and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo. Give that a shot.

Are you talking about putting the device in DFU mode?

Yes I tried that before - unsuccesfully. I held both buttons down for 20 seconds but nothing appeared..
