Hi,

the 4s was a world iphone. Everywhere you can buy "the same modell" of 4s.
Is it true, that apple offers 3 different types of iphone 5:
  • Modell A1428: GSM --> USA
  • Modell A1429: CDMA --> USA
  • Modell A1429: GSM --> Germany, Australia etc.
E.g.: That means it is not possible to buy a iphone at the USA and use it at Gemany?

Regards,
Dok

You can buy either the Verizon or AT&T USA phone and use them anywhere in the world. Because all iPhone 5's are able to use GSM networks.

They are all world phones, it is the LTE part that isn't "world"....I don't know why you guys think LTE matters so much when you're on vacation and HSPA+ should be more than sufficient while you're traveling. It is still plenty fast. ;););)

All three models are global in the GSM, UMTS sense, they are not in the LTE, i.e., all of them will work with 3G (3.5G) but not with LTE.

In any case LTE deployment is very slow in Europe.

That means, if I want to use LTE, then I have to buy a "european" iphone 5. Right?
