The replacement of the physical "push" home button to something more reliable, consistent and that doesn't misinterpret/interchange single and double tap inputs.

the one that would eliminate people via death ray for people asking the same thing as other posters/threads over and over.

Speech to text as good as the android system ( without jumping through hoops from an app). That is one thing i miss very much. That one feature almost kept me from coming back to iphone 4 from the the Incredible. But the integration of video and music, apps, and retina display won the day.

An even longer battery life. I honestly can't really think of much that the phone is missing. Larger storage capacities are starting to become really important for me though now that I'm starting to get into iPhone gaming. I don't have a large music collection, so I've never really needed much storage, but now I'm starting to get up to the half-way point of my 32GB iPhone, so I can see it getting full sometime soon, especially with 5 megapixel images and HD video.

Holy cow, how long did it take for you to compile that list?

About 15 minutes, I used the 'Find' feature (Command+F) in Safari and searched for the term "iPhone 5." I went back 150 pages to prove a point.

I did come across some iOS 5 threads, but I decided not to post those, I kept it just hardware. If you do the math of how many post are created per month and average that by the how many days are in that month, we get an average of 2 post per week regarding "iPhone 5 Wish list" threads.

So not to offend the forum defenders from the evils of threads like this, rather than just not remark on it and move on, what is the acceptable amount of times that an idea or thread that has been mentioned before people like the above feel the need to act that they have been offended in some form.

What is the criteria one must meet before they get ire and anger of the forum defenders?

almost any idea or question can get links, why we dont just get rid of the forums and call it mac google instead.

This pointless thread fits into the criterion. If you want to discuss the exact same crap ad nauseum, then at least do a search and bump one of 50 old threads about the same topic. The only thing worse than new threads like these are plainly absurd crap like questions about specs or prices (I've seen them on other forums).

The first thing that I do before I post something that might be obvious is do a search to see if it has been discussed before.

This ;)

Well to answer your question if it has already been asked then what is the point of another post asking the same thing? Basically your encouraging laziness.... Plus it is against forum rules to make duplicate threads on the same topic. So it's swell and all that you felt the need to defend a point that really can't be defended but how about you stop being that guy.

Something awesome everyone here would want. This is Swype

umm no, swype is rather pointless. I don't like it very much because I prefer to type with my two thumbs and my index finger while holding my whole iPhone in my opposite hand like the uncultured Android users do.

Swype looks like they stole their idea from Shapewriter.

For the next iPhone I'd like to see whatever processor/memory/camera/etc upgrades are necessary to enable good Augmented Reality apps. I think there's a lot of good potential there.
