iPhone iphone 5c 8gb usable space

anyone have an iphone 5c 8gb with ios 8 preferably 8.3 or 8.4 beta can tell me how much capacity it has?

someone wants an iphone now & its the only one here thats free on contract, all others even the next cheapest 16gb 5s is too expensive, used iphones are also too expensive. again he wants an iphone now & not waiting so ill be teaching on what everything does on it etc & capacity would help to plan what he can & cant use

What I would say is from experience what's left out of 8gb for the user to use will be very restrictive after downloading apps etc and accounting for future iOS updates.

Some need to use options such as DropBox and micro manage what they do.

If disposable income allows try to go for a 16gb iPhone or over.

I remember usable space being about ~6gb on iOS6 of another phone so i reckon on ios8, it will be around 4-5.5ish. I know the CAPACITY of a 16gb phone 5 is 12.60 GB and with nothing on it (clean install, just activated), the available space is 11.6 gb.

With that logic, i reckon capacity is around 5gb with ~4.x available

thanks, yes i know 8gb is nothing short of a turd but he wants & wants now, luckily his usage will be based on youtube, some facebook, transit 360, 2 banking apps, paypal, steam, playstation, the weather network, newegg, hollister, american eagle, aeropostale, amazon, and...about it. doesnt have much music maybe 500mb around there
