iPhone 5c Bricked, screen won't turn on

I have an iPhone 5c that I got from work. The person that had it brought it in the other day and said it wouldn't turn on. We ended up buying another phone for him and I took the bricked one home. I have gotten it to go into DFU mode and iTunes will recognize it but when I go to restore it, it always gets hung up after it extracts the file. Nothing ever shows on the iPhone display. I have tried restoring on multiple computers and it always errors out at the same spot. Does anyone know of any other way to restore it? Any info would be much appreciated.
