iPhone 5C Update Cycle

So I really really like the feel and design of the iPhone 5C and I'm thinking to update from a 4S but just in the end of this year.

The thing is with the rumors that the 5C will be dropped I don't know if I should get one now... Besides what are your thoughts on the 5C upgrade cycle?

Will it be a 5S when a 6 comes out? I doubt that they will put the new processor on the 1st update to the 5C but you never know...

What are your thoughts?

5C is very unlikely to be dropped. The 4S will be dropped, the 5C will move down to its place.

The real question is what happens to the 5S. Will it move down to second rung. Or will it be repackaged into plastic like the 5 was. Or dropped entirely.

There have been several reports from credible sources recently that Apple is planning to drop the 5C and the C line entirely. If that happens, it's possible they'll keep the 5C as the lowest in the line, offering the 6/5s/5c.

We shall see, though.
