I'm reading a lot of complaints about the new prices for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. Am I missing something?
iPhone 5S Pricing (at announcement):
16GB - £549
32GB - £629
64GB - £709
iPhone 6 Pricing:
16GB - £539
64GB - £619
128GB - £699
iPhone 6+ Pricing:
16GB - £619
64GB - £699
128GB - £789
Given that the 6+ is completely new territory for Apple, I would say it is fair to call the iPhone 6 the 'regular' update to the iPhone product line - i.e the regular cyclical update to the iPhone 5S.
The 6+ is a new product, and it should be expected that this is more expensive than the 6.
With that in mind, the pricing of the iPhone 6 is actually cheaper than the iPhone 5S! I was pleasantly surprised by this. I don't ever recall seeing iPhone prices decrease from one year to the next, which is effectively what has happened this year.
So, genuine question, why are people complaining?
