In another thread I posted a link to an article written by the well known professional photographer Scott Bourne.

A colleague of his posted a similar article discussing the iPhone 5s as a video camera called "How Does The iPhone 5S Stack Up as a Video Camera?". I am a huge hobby photographer but really don't understand the technical aspects so these types of articles really help to explain the new specs.

Anyway, I've seen a number of posts on here discussing the camera but not so much the video camera so I thought I'd share.

I've already been using the iPhone 5 as my main video and photo camera and I'm amazed with the results.

I won a contest with a film made on my iPhone, and other contenders had devices like DSLRs and dedicated HD camcorders.

When you record your videos with the iPhone 5 ( and I guess soon with iPhone 5S ) do you record in landscape mode so that when you play it back on your computer the view is not vertical?
