Does the warranty cover this. Pulled phone out of pocket and realized it was bent in the middle. It's bent so much that the screen is popping out on top part of the phone.

That should be a warranty issue, these phones shouldn't just bend... It also could be the result of a swollen battery.

The can and DO bend. Many cases of people bending their phones. If the OP had it in his back pocket it can bend when you sit down. A friend had his 5S get bent in his front pocket when he brushed up against a table.

The swollen battery happens over time and not where all is good and then all of a sudden the phone is bent.

Yeah, it's pretty weird, cause the screen is not cracked? It's just the back part of the phone is visibly bent. I don't carry it in my back pocket. However, I do work in a warehouse workplace and could have gotten hit by something while working. **Looking for iPad to take a pic**

Mine is ever so slightly warped, I think from the heat during charging. If I put it on a flat surface it rocks a little. This is invisible to the eye.

Here are some pics. Everything works on the phone, and screen is not cracked. The screen however is lifted on the top corners of the phone.

There is no way that an iPhone can magically bend (in such a protective case too) without some kind of force. Maybe driving over it or sitting on it, but I can't see how it would "just bend".

Not saying there wasn't a force, just saying that it wasn't purely by sitting on it or having it in my back pocket.

In my case I bumped against a countertop the morning prior. That's literally the ONLY thing I think could have caused the bend while in my pocket.

Actually it's quite possible for the batteries in such gadgets to expand, causing this kind of bending. I recall on my 2010 Macbook Pro the whole trackpad 'magically' bending up, due to the battery underneath expanding.

We had two iPads, one of those was definitely a bit bent. Think I have a 2006 MBP that's a bit distorted as well come to think of it.
