While I understand this is an OCD question, are all the rings around the home buttons on the 5S just slightly raised so not to be flush to the phone itself?

Something that I can certainly live with, but I had to ask.

 I'm most certain they are chamfered inward.

On second thought, are you talking a possible defect on your particular iPhone? Like having a button not completely center?

I just came from the Apple Store and from the 3 model units I played with, the ring didn't feel raised (or not flush).

I tried out some of the phones at the store and all were slightly raised.

Hmm, mine is totally flush with the top glass.

Mine is slightly raised and when I say slightly I mean that if you used your finger nail to glide on the glass until you reach the ring your nail would snag it ever so lightly...you cant feel it with your finger.
