I've having lots of trouble getting contacts on the iPhone to sync with icloud. When I log into the iCloud I only have about 10% of my contacts showing. When I open Contacts on my Macbook I have more showing, but maybe 20%. I've tried turning the contacts options off and on many times and they still won't sync. I've tried selecting iCloud as the default account and still no luck. I've exhausted all the options I could find online.

The iCloud option under default contacts keeps disappearing, and often the only options that show are "Gmail" and "On My iPhone"

Any ideas?
[doublepost=1454176695][/doublepost]I figured it out, apparently gmail and iCloud contacts don't sync together. I added a gmail account under the Macbook contacts app and it brought them all over.
