My phone just crashed while i was sending a message. Went completely dark for a few minutes and couldnt turn it on. Then it suddenly woke up and was frozen so i did a reboot. When it finally came alive, most of the apps were missing, including Setttings, Photos, Messages etc.

Currently trying a restore from iTunes. Anyone heard of this? Has this happened before to anyone?

Very confused.

This is what it looks like right now

A full restore through didn't work. Apple replaced it for a new one.

iPhone 5s Crashed. 75% apps missing including stock apps

Wow that's weird. How did the main apple apps disappear? Glad you got it replaced! Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

I’ve no idea. Thing just froze then crashed. It can’t have been an ios7 thing because an iTunes restore didn’t help. I have no idea what i could have done to trigger it either.

Same thing happened to me when I turned on my phone

I reset it back to factory settings, it worked, but after I restored this backup the apps were not visible again.

Go into Settings/General/About. Scroll down to Diagnostic & Usage. Touch this and once in there touch Diagnostic & Usage Data. See if you have any entries called PANIC.PLIST.

If you have then your iPhone more than likely has a hardware issue and I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple Store to see about a replacement.
