iPhone 5s lock screen behavior without Touch ID question

My wife's iPhone 5s has a passcode on it, but she has to put in the number, and then there is the additional press of "ok". Shouldn't it just unlock once the code is put in?

My iPhone 7 doesn't require the "ok", although I do have Touch ID turned on.
