Should an iPhone making some ticking noise when you move it from left to right?

edit: It's the power button that makes the noise. If I keep the power button pressed, then the sound is gone when shaking the iPhone softly.

Yes it happens on many iPhone 5s, but it's not the button itself, but something inside, under the button I think.
If you keep the power button pressed, you can't hear the noise.

Thanks, that's exactly what I noticed. If I keep the button pressed, there is no noise.

Is it worth contacting Apple and asking for a replacement unit?

The replacement unit will most likely have the same issue. I have a feeling Apple doesn't consider it a defect.

I will keep it, since I don't consider it a real defect.
Maybe in 9-10 months I will request a refurbished unit with a new battery :D

That is sad. I can hear Apple say, you're recording it wrong if you get rattle noises in your video (due to moving your iPhone).

If you say the replacement unit will have the same problem most likely, maybe I'll just live with I guess since there are no other defects.

Unless your rattle is a LOT worse than mine, it shouldn't be a problem when recording. I mean, if the phone is moving around enough to produce the rattle, how are you going to hold the camera steady?

If I record someone that is moving, i can get rattles due to sudden movements. But if I just try to keep things smooth, you won't hear anything.

If you are doing a smooth movement to record a video you shouldn't hear any rattles (on my you have to SHAKE IT to hear something). Otherwise your video will be a nightmare ...

If you move your phone fast to the left, you don't hear a rattle? (this is not shaking yet)

Suppose that Apple will fix this issue in their manufacturing in 1-2 months. Can we ask for a replacement (out of our 14 day warranty) since it's a manufacturing defect?

I tried this with my friends 5s it only rattles when I shake it.

Lol I like the way you think. But don't rip off apple:)

I don't think they are considering that as a defect ... Mine was built in December, and it rattles if you shake it.
