Carrier iPhone 5S runs warm after phone call and battery drops fast

Hi


I have a iPhone 5S. When I was talking on it on Thursday after I made my call I noted the back of my phone got vary warm all so I noted that when I surfing the web and only surfing the web and useing FB messenger my battery drops like a rock. I started out the Am with a full 100% buy time noon comes around am down. Am down to 18% or less I all so noted the the battery drops fast when am not even useing it I use my iPhone a full brightness I have turn it down two 50% but it still drops fast like a rock I have ios 7.1.2 on the iPhone 5S could that caseing it? I this got the iPhone 5C wish still have ios 7.1.1 install wish am not going two upgrade to ios 7.1.2 in tell I can fined out from you guys if it's is In fact Ios 7.1.2 that's doing it to iPhone 5S then a again I could have a bad battery or bad iPhone note I live in the foothills in Sonora CA. So there is no apple store All so I took the phone where I got it from and they said they could not do any thing so am making this fourm up so I can get some idea from you guys and see what could be wrong with it
 
Try restoring it. If that doesn't work take it to apple.

I used apples charging cable and a crap charger block. The same thing happened to my phone. The cheap charger shorted something out in the phone. Apple replaced my 9 month old iPhone 5 at no cost to me. Make sure you restore it first if you did use an uncertified charger as they will check logs.
 
My 5S is running the latest iOS update and there are no issues with it getting warm or with the battery. Since I updated to 7.1.2 I've been getting even more battery life than before, usually 7-8 hours before needing to charge it again. Take it into Apple and have them run a battery test on it for you.
 
We'll my iPhone 5S is down two 2% wish is 5hrs 40 minutes and have it on full brightness whee on my iPhone 5C I have 30% Wish is 5hrs 42 minutes

I think I may this have a bad battery in the iPhone. 5S

What have you been doing on the 5s vs. on the 5c?

Also, English may not be your first language, but a little quality-control on your posts would make them much easier to read and comprehend.

I'd call applecare. I had a friend whose iPhone got really hot and then one day started coming apart.

Call applecare and tell them about it.

Don't have apple care



Am this going two use my iPhone 5C has my mine phone and this use my iPhone 5s has a back up and for beta testing I like the iPhone 5C better has I get way better battery life then the iPhone 5S dos

The OP does not have to go through Apple Care as the 5S is still under the regular 1 year warranty period.
