iPhone 5s screen flicker? Or my eyes

Not sure if it's my ageing eyes or just the effect when my iPhone 5s switches on from sleep, but I seem to see a flicker every now and then when it wakes from sleep.

Is this a known fault, my eyes, or an Apple effect?

Do you detect this flicker only when you first wake it up, if so that should not be a problem. If it "flickers" the whole time you are using it, I can see that would be a problem.

It's definitely more on wake up, maybe seen it once or twice when using?
