iPhone 5S SIM CARD NOT VALID

Am I the only one with this problem? I bought Verizon iPhone retail price and I took it to Verizon to switch devices from old phone to 5S. But "SIM CARD NOT VALID" popped up. After trying 3 sim cards Verizon sent me back to Apple. Its 3:15PM and my phone is still not activated.

I am having the same issue.

I am at the apple store right now and they tell me it's a known issue. I'm pretty sure it's Verizon trying to make it difficult so people with unlimited data "upgrade" to limited data. Very frustrating!!!
