i was trying to take off the ID/passcode and forgot it.
i went in the settings and with all the tries i got wrong it locked me out and touch id wont work anymore says i need the code

DFU restore seems like the only way to fix that that I can think of.
It can't be that easy, can it? Doesn't iOS 7 have new security measures in place to keep someone with a stolen phone from doing something like this? Or do those security measures only go into effect if you mark the device as lost or stolen in Find my iPhone?

And to the OP: I'm not suggesting that you have a stolen phone.

Ah...I think I might see how it works. Even if you activated lost mode through Find My iPhone, all you should need is your Apple ID and password to reactivate the device. And then, as long as you don't restore from a backup that had the forgotten passcode, you should be ok.

If you get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch back after you’ve already erased it, just enter your Apple ID and password to reactivate it.

Yes. When you DFU restore and first boot the phone up, iTunes will ask you to log in with the previous iCloud account to activate the phone.

I forgot about that.
