I'm planning a trip to France and would like to use data over there with my new 5s. Is this possible without having to go through Verizon's horrible international plans that charges like 20 bucks per mb?

Possibly through a prepaid using a nano sim?

Yes, the Verizon 5s is unlocked and you can use it with any carrier in France that offers nano SIMs. You can probably start with the listing of supported carriers here:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Though I'm sure there are others who can offer you prepaid nano SIMs.

Thanks I see Bouygue is the only carrier that has 4g. Do you know if there is a specific site to purchase prepaid nano sims or I have to do it when I get there?

I use http://www.lefrenchmobile.com and have no issues. I like the fact they send to you before you get there. I spent a good amount of time in France and had zero issues.

Orange is the biggest carrier in France. They have LTE so I'm not sure why apple says no. I think its a mistake.

You can buy pay as you go sims in the carrier boutiques also.
