Iphone 5S unavailable for store pickup

I live in an apartment complex and there has been a history of people stealing packages from people's doorsteps and incompetent drivers, so I usually select ship to store option for online shopping whenever possible. However, when I tried to buy the iPhone 5S (space grey if important) and select the store pickup option, it said unavailable for pickup. This surprised me because I was able to pickup my customized Macbook there earlier this year and it worked for iPods when I went to test it out.

My question is, will the store pickup option be available or do I have to bite the bullet and ship it to my home?

i honestly would try again later. personal pickup seems to be an available option for me. if it's still unavailable, then i wouldn't hesitate just going down to the apple store to buy the phone there. they should have plenty of stock.
