When you register a finger, the sensor can recognize and differentiate at a minimum of 5 fingers per each set up/label.
In reality though it can recognize more than 1 during that set up.

It can recognize between 5- 10. We tried five, which worked but 10 did not. This means that with the set up, you can have the sensor recognize up to 25 (possibly more) uniques fingerprints. My found and brother documents this in the video.

Neat little trick ... although its pretty obvious from your video that its less precise when trying to perceive any of the 5 fingers you put in that one slot.

Interesting! I wouldn't ever need that many fingers per set and it does seem a little less precise but nevertheless pretty cool.

Wow this is awesome. Definitely gonna do this later. Good find, OP!

Edit: This is too amazing! Registered all ten of my fingers and it's working beautifully. And I was actually able to scan 6 fingers (middle, ring, and pinky on both hands) to one of the five finger spaces. This is seriously incredible.

Interesting - I used up 4 of the slots with my thumbs and index fingers as those are the ones I am 100% of the time using to press the home button.

I left the fifth slot for my wife in case she needed to get in.

While cool, it just seems like this would be less secure and not as precise.....maybe I'm wrong.

definitely

i emailed some sites but none are tipping it lol

I sent a tip to iMore and a few other sites but iMore was the only one who posted about it. This is a pretty big find so I'm surprised that no one else is posting about it.
