iPhone 5S Unlock: How to?

I just bought an AT&T at full price and I want to unlock it. Should I take the sim out before restoring it and unlock thru iTunes? Does it matter?

I'm asking because I don't have any nanosim right now other than AT&T, and I want to unlock it now and see if there's any problem and I need to return it to Apple store. I hope I can unlock it thru iTunes without a sim.

Leave the AT&T sim inside and just restore it.
You will get the congrats message on iTunes after its done restoring.

Oh that clears it up. I saw some people say I have to take it out and insert my desired non-AT&T sim. Thanks man.
