Actually there's already been a video of a guy unlocking a iPhone with his cat's paw.
Either way it makes it a bit more difficult unlocking the phone then using a password.

How long before people realize you don't need an actual "finger print" to use this feature?
As long as what you're scanning later, matches up to what you've input as the thing to scan... it'll work.
It's not a fingerprint scanner in the sense that it matches your print up against a massive database somewhere in the sky...
