I'm going to get the iPhone 5S hopefully when it comes out this month, however i was hoping that i would be able to buy it unlocked straight away. I'm not familiar with whether or not Apple releases the iPhone as factory unlocked right away or waits a while first...

Great, thanks for the heads up, is the date likely to be the 20th then? if i went in at the end of september (not the first day) would there still be some at the apple store?
