iphone 6+ 2 hour loss of battery since update

anyone else notice generally a 2 hour reduction in battery life on iPhone 6+ since iOS 8.4 or 8?

I also notice the icons on the display look sharper, so the improvement on screen sharpness, some change in the scaling maybe? and greater smoothness in animations seems to have hit the battery quite badly.

the 6+ was astonishing in that it regularly went over 10 hours of usage for me playing games and all sorts, but now has cut back to 7 hours or so.
