iPhone 5s was introduced on 20 September 2013 (preorders on 13).
iPhone 6 and 6+ were introduced on 19 September 2014 (preorders on 12). The shipping time is still 3-4 weeks.
Now, macrumors archive says that on 5 december 2013, the shipping of the iPhone 5s decreased to 1-3 days in us.
I'm wondering when the shipping time of iPhone 6/6+ will start decreasing...

Took me till November to get an iphone5!

It took me 3 days after launch to get a 128 space grey 6+.

Go figure! :D

For me, it wasn't all that difficult to get two iPhone 6+ models. I opted for online purchase and local pickup. When ever I tried to go through the process and it wasn't available for pickup, I closed the browser session.

I did that for like a week, always first thing in the morning well before the stores opened up and I was able to purchase two iPhones that way.

So maflynn, since I'll be in USA from 2-12 jan (I'm italian) what is your suggestion? To check everyday if it is available for pickup and then order it when I'll be there?

Pretty sure you will be able to just walk in and buy by then.
