iPhone 6+ and 5S Question SIM?

I just received a work iPhone 6+ 64GB and want to switch the sim from my 5S, question is do I have to go to AT&T or can I put the SIM card from my line on the 5S directly into the 6+?

They sent it to me in order to do this but told me to check with the carrier for SIM compatibility?

You should be able to just swap them out, no need to go through AT&T.

I switch my AT&T SIM card out between my 6 and 5s on a weekly basis, so you should be able to do the same.
