iPhone 6 and 6s plus SIM card swap issue

I'm upgrading to the 6s plus 128 GB but I upgraded in my mom line and giving her my 6 128 GB what should I do

Do I just swap the SIM card out and call my carrier to activate it my SIM card on the new phone

I did the next plan on my mom line since my line is still on the two year contract

I would just take the SIM out of the new phone before you turn it on and put your SIM in the new phone and then call your carrier and see if you can use the new SIM in what will now be your mom's phone or if you need to go into the carrier's store and get a new SIM

Is it being delivered to you? If so, just activate the new phone with your moms SIM card. After that, just switch the SIM from your phone and her (new phone). No phone calls needed.
