I went into my local Apple Store Monday, looked at the phones, and got in line to buy an iPhone 6. While working with the Apple person, we got a message from AT&T saying that I was in a market (Boston, where I have never lived) that was not eligible for upgrade (I have a 4S bought the day they came out in the Apple stores). The person I was working with said she had never seen such a message. After taking to an AT&T rep, and her supervisor, she said they knew there was a software glitch, but couldn't do anything about it, so I had to leave with no phone (hours wasted, of course). Today I called AT&T. They claim it is an Apple software problem. I called Apple. They say they never heard of such a thing and it is not their problem. At this point I can't buy an iPhone 6 (unless I go to an AT&T store, which at this point I an not about to do). Two big corporations are giving me conflicting stories. At least one of them is lying. Has anyone else had such a problem?
