I think the bending issue was with the 6 Plus.

Technically, The bending applied to the iPhone 6 in general, because it uses the same 6000 series for both chassis. The problem was with the larger ‘Plus’ model, people were sitting on their phones, Thus resulting in bending them because they were putting them in their back pockets because of how large they were.

OP: The 7000 series aluminum rectified the bending with the iPhone 7.
