Iphone 6+ app syncing issues

Hi

Recently, my iphone 6 plus decided to misbehave. After updating the apps to its newest versions on itunes, when I sync the phone with itunes, it will sync everyhing escept for the updated apps. If you click on the app menu of the iphone summary page, you will see the update button. Every time I have to click on it to change the status to will update and click on apply so that it updates the app.

Does anyone know if I clicked on a switch somewhere that made this happen?

Hi, sorry i will also include the following : It is running under iOS 8.4. i am not sure if it coincided with the itunes 12.2 and iOS 8.4 update. Also, I have already tried restoring the iphone and then restoring the backup.
