I am trying to assign photos to contacts on my new phone.
While doing that, I get the option to scale and place the pic, which I do. However, as soon as I am finished, iphone moves certain pics up and usually all I see in the little contact photo circle is a mouth and a chin.
Not all of them but quite a few.

Assuming it has something to do with the size of the original, I have tried different sizings and aspect ratios. No success.
Reduce motion effect hasn't helped a bit.

Anybody have an idea? Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue on an earlier version of iOS 8, but the issue has been resolved since iOS 8.1.2. Which version are you on now?

Thanks for replying.
8.1.2 is my version. Did your problem go away by just updating the software?
