My battery started failing a few days ago - i have huge drains from nowhere, drops of 25%+ in minutes and i got an unexpected shutdown + phone was downclocked. Battery health is at 98%.

I took the phone to my local apple retailer and they diagnosed the battery to be faulty. They offered a replacement for 50€.

Now, i just had it replaced less than 10 months ago and it is a clear defect of the product.

From apple's warranty page and the apple guys at the store say the warranty is 3 months for a replaced battery.

I live i the EU however and to my knowledge, everything we buy has at least a 2 year warranty, especially if it's a defect of the product.

Can apple make their 3 month warranty claim or am i right to say the EU law overrules it?
