Takes a few full cycles before a quantified battery test can begin. Even then, usage among different people will vary dramatically. Heavy usage for one person may be considered light for others. Some may prefer having brightness set to 100 and others may prefer 50%. Battery usage is relative.
While I completely agree that its far too early for any real consistent battery results, here's what I've just mentioned in another thread just as an initial impression.
So far 21 hours 13 minutes on standby with 6 hours 47 minutes of use. Brightness full, WiFi and 3/4G browsing, Bluetooth on and lots of messaging, calls and apps being toyed with (including a very unoptimised app I'm developing just now) and it's still going.

I've had my iPhone 6 for about 36 hours now; yesterday was my first full day of use.
The battery life was about as good as my iPhone 5S, maybe slightly better. It died at 6:50 use, 14h standby.
I restored from my iPhone 5S backup but did a reset all settings; I have Frequent Locations disabled as well as background app refreshing. Honestly, I find it kind of ridiculous that I have to **** with it so much to get not quite a full day out of it.

In one day so far, mine has been better than my 5s. I don't spend all day on it, but I have made a few calls, texts, email, forums, messing with settings, etc. and the battery meter is much more full than my 5s was. I have the % off however and have on my last phone so I don't obsess over it. As long as it lasts the day I am good, and so far it seems like it is going to do that and then some.
