Hey guys, I'm about to receive my iPhone soon but I'm wondering what is the dimension of the cardboard shipping box the iPhone 6 comes in since i'm estimating the cost of shipping to my friend. I was quoted a rate of 1 lb. = 166cubic inches and measured whichever comes first. Hope you can shed some light into this. Thanks!

EDIT: iPhone 6 UPS box, not the retail packaging itself.

I already tossed my box, but from memory it was about 10x6x3 inches. Bigger than previous orders and lots of empty space inside.

My buddy who bought from Apple got it in a much larger box.
My buddy who bought from AT&T got it in a much smaller box.

So it all depends.

mine was probably the same, stupid big and plenty of extra space.

I mean if you're going to send me a box that big, at least fill it up with a few apple leather cases, another lightning to usb cable and an iPad mini or something?

I wonder if the bigger box is an attempt at concealing the contents.

Perhaps. My UPS driver didn't believe when I told him that was an iPhone. My box was big enough to fit maybe 6 iPhone boxes inside. Bought from AT&T.

That's 180 cubic inches so I guess its correct to charge me 2lbs. Dang it, I miss the old snug iPhone 5s boxes which is measured at 1 lb.

Mine was barely bigger than the iPhone box in length and height, a little wider in width. But basically not much larger than the iPhone box itself.

My box shows: 0.4kgs and the box is a little bigger than the box from the iphone 6

My last 5S came in a box exactly like that, but this new 6 box could have held six phones in the box easy. Looks like different boxes used in different areas or different shippers maybe. Mine came UPS.
