iPhone 6 charge dropping out

On the last three occasions when the phone has dropped out and I've had to connect to the charger, the charge had been at 10%, 23% and 9%. It doesn't appear to be a display error, because the phone has turned back on, returned to the old level and begun to charge from there as soon as connected.
