iPhone 6 DAC

Anyone know the DAC used in the 6/6 Plus? Or how's the audio quality using proper earphones like Shure/Westone etc?

I have heard mixed reports (head-fi.org) that it isn't as good as the 5S, which everyone loved for audio.

Flac is the format i use. Been reading up on the Blue MoFi can...it has a built-in amp to drive the can. Perhaps this will improve the sound.

Thanks for that. Apparently the Shure 535LTD's are perfect for the iP6. This makes me happy since I own a pair. Should have gone for the 128GB.

From what I am gathering, better then the 5, not as good as the 5S.

uses the same Cirrus Logic 338S1201 Audio Codec as the 5S.

I would assume it would be very similar to the 5S. Give it more time to allow reviews and feedback to comeback in.

I do not know what the DAC is. I updated from an iPhone 5 and I thought the audio was incredible on the iPhone 6. Used my Sony in ear headphones (MDR EX1000) directly connected to the phone and was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and quality of the audio. My previous set up was with an FiiO E7 and an iPhone 5. The audio is so good on the 6 I don't see myself using the E7 very much.
