Hi,

I have my iPhone 6 64GB Space Gray for a few days now. Today I noticed that "click" sound when I press the lock button (or sleep/wake button) is different than when I press the volume buttons. When I press the volume buttons they makes loud "click" sound and also these buttons are quite stiff. When I press the lock button it makes much more softer "click" sound and also this button seem to be little bit easier to press.

Do you have similar experience with your iPhone 6 (not 6+)? Does your lock button feels little bit easier to press than volume buttons? I can't remember if this behaviour was same from the first time I use my iPhone, or it change when I used it, so I'd really like to know.

Is it bugging you? No? Move on.

Do the buttons still work?

Yes. It's not an issue.

No. Return it.

yeah, it's just strange that until today I did not realised that difference, so I'm curious if it's usual behaviour, or not... that's all, so I be glad if you post your experience:)

How loud your buttons click rates very low on the list of possible defects/imperfections your new phone may have.

SOrry but I am not going to compare the different click sounds on my iPhone buttons.

Just when you thought . . . . .

I have noticed that when I am holding my phone and I let the right hand side get lower than the left the phone tilts to the right. ;)

Anyone else notice this?

sure guys, I know all of that, I'm just curious ..no OCD or anything else, I bought this phone in store which is approximately 1500km away from my home, so definitely I'm not going back there in 14 days return policy :D

but people usually talking here about similar things

wepiii - thanks
Newtons Apple - you already try and they sounds different, am I right? (just kidding :))
mhoepfin - no bending at all, also I have short hairs, so from this point of view everything is great :)

We have had the volume buttons to be different colors but have not heard about them sounding different.

yeah because before the lock button was completely different button in shape, size and also position, so nobody cares, but now they are on same place, just on opposite sides of phone, and also shape and size is almost the same, so I was curious how many people have this "issue"... I believe that after some time, everybody will have lock button used more, because sound buttons are not used that often and so because of that also sound of lock button will change, but after few days of use is way too early

it seems like they make lock button little bit easier to press in case you hold your phone on the other side by volume up button, so if you squeeze your hand to lock screen with lock button the volume up button does not press accidentally

The difference in feel is also better for taking photos. Its easier to take photos with volume button, lock the device, pocket all in one smooth action. There is method to apples apparent madness. They are smarter than people realise.

Or its a complete accidental fudge up. Or as some would same good karma :)

yeah it will be interesting to know, if it's random, or they focus also on such a small details

My power button is noticeably louder than the volume buttons. The force difference is minimal, if any. Not an issue IMO unless your buttons are exceptionally hard to press

Mine iPhone 6 Plus has this too. I'm still within my 14 days of return policy but not going to be bothered about it. Actually i prefer the softer clicking homebutton sound.
