Iphone 6 double tap screen jump

Hi everyone,

I have been playing with my new iphone 6 and have found that if I double tap the home button (not pressing it just touching it) the whole screen jumps half way down. Is this a feature? or a strange bug??

Reachability. Because the iPhone is 5.5", Apple decided to add a "one handed mode" by tapping or clicking the home button twice.

You only tap the button to activate reachability. Double click is still the app switcher
