Sad to say if safety is the reason, there will be no delay in China.

There was an explosion at the Foxconn factory, surely they won't be able to continue to operate. For safety of its workers. I don't know but I just thought I would post the article, as this could be one of the reasons for the iPhone 6 delay.

The article I read said, that it wasn't the iPhone 6 factory from Foxconn but that all factories of this kind (including Foxconn's) have to stop production for security checks.
Therefore I don't think it will change the iPhone 6 release date at all.

That article is a little misleading. The recent explosion was NOT at a FOXCONN plant it was at a auto parts plant that is a 2nd tier supplier to GM. China has asked all metal polishing plants to review the safety of their operations which would include any metal polisher for iphone components.

A better article on the explosion:

http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/china-car-parts-plant-kills-69-hurts-187-24822764

Oh that original article is miss leading because it says Foxconn, reading it i thought that Foxconn had the explosion, which i thought would cause the iPhone 6 delay. Safety checks should always be top priority.

The news people of today are quickly becoming a very sad lot.

Without facts, they jump to conclusions and publish without any fact or logic involved.

And, we sheep jump right in and follow along.
