Hi all,
So I have an iPhone 6 that I just replaced the screen on. (from dropping & cracked screen.) After I replaced the screen, the proximity sensor no longer worked, so I ordered one of those, re-opened the phone and switched out the sensor cable. This piece: http://tinypic.com/r/16aurle/8. I had to reconnect it to the rest of the cable. (Which I hope I did correctly and is not the cause of my new, mic issue.) (The replacement sensor cable still didn't solve the proximity issue, so I know it's an issue of the missing proximity sensor bracket, so I've ordered one of those, hoping to solve that problem.)
Anywho, since I did this work and put my phone back together, my external mic doesn't work. I use it all the time for talk to text, so it's a large annoyance to me.
Could this have anything to do with the cable I just replaced? The phone is relatively new and the mic always worked before, and it's not dirty. I've even opened the phone back up to look at it, and it looks fine.
If the above couldn't be related, is the mic connected to the home button cable? Maybe something happened there when I put the phone back together?
Thanks for any input! I'd love to get this thing working properly!
