I'm really sorry if this was discussed already. Searching for "desktop" on this forum brings up so many irrelevant results :(

I'd like browsing on the iphone 6+ to work more like that on the iPad. So tabs, desktop view for websites, etc.

Any way to do this? Or do I need a third party browser?

Download dolphin browser

You can do it in Safari. Go to a webpage, tap on the URL, scroll up to see above the bookmark grid and you will see "Request Desktop Site".

It's a pain to have to do that for every site you go to though. To bad there isn't a setting for safari that makes it automatic.

I feel you OP.

Posted this same question a week ago. Seems like there is no way to automatically have websites viewed as their desktop versions while on the 6+ and Safari.

I hate having to click on search field, dropping down the option to view full desktop version and selecting it EVERY time.

Always viewed desktop versions of sites as much as I could since my original iPhone, and with the screen real estate of the 6+, no reason why we can't have it defaulted.

Maybe in iOS 8.1?
