Instead of getting the 6+?

For me (key term there for me) the 6+ is too big to be used as a phone and too small for my tablet needs. The 6 will be just the right size coming from a galaxy s4 user. But I just am envious of those giant phone screens so maybe it's time I get a tablet and the Mini would basically be like a giant version of the iPhone 5s right? Would there really be that much difference between the 6 and the mini as long as I separate out phone/camera stuff for use with the 6?

Great combo but not perfect. The perfect one will be iPhone 6 and iPad Air. (and rMBP 15" at your desk :p)

Different strokes for different folks.

I have an rMini, but I see value in getting the IP6+ so I think I'll be taking the plunge when my contract ends.

The point of a phablet is so you don't have to carry a tablet. If the 6+ isn't enough for your tablet needs, then go with a 6 and a tablet.

I have a rMini and about 95% set on the 6. For me, the 6+ would be a replacement for both my iPhone 5S and rMini so I'd sell the rMini if I were getting the 6+. As always though, to each his own.

How much does the mini-retina look like the 6? They would match pretty well right?

I think the IP6+ has a higher pixel density and resolution so it looks better but since we're unable to compare them at the moment, I'm just speculating.

A waste of money.

Now that Apples built a massive phone, no need for a tablet. My mini sits unused, even the kids are bored with it.

But we are a fun and fitness oriented family that aren't couch potatoes.

We're too busy enjoying cycling, hiking, rock climbing and doing other outdoor activities, enjoying the California weather.

But the fact they built a massive phone doesn't apply to me.

In a few words...I'm not your family.

Also, the 6+ may increase sales of the iPod shuffle. I think I will get one for working out.

:apple:Watch with bluetooth audio is the new workout companion. The iPhone 6+ is essentially my new computer. This is a big change for me on how I perceive the phone and where it belongs in my life. Less mobility, more function, and now I need something even MORE mobile... hence the watch.

Apple knows what they're doing it seems.
