I understand that only the iPhone 6 Plus can rotate the home screen view.

Is this a limitation of the hardware? An intended software limitation to give the iPhone 6 Plus an 'extra feature'? I would love to see this come to the iPhone 6. I play a lot of games in landscape and I feel silly leaving one game to go into another and looking at my home screen in portrait mode sideways.

If any apple developers read this thread, please consider adding it in an update as an option at least!

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Intentionally left out to give the Plus a feature to go with its large screen.

I don't even like how it's implemented on the Plus though.

You can't toggle it off without orientation locking everything.

It rotates upside down, which didn't seem very useful, and annoying to wait for it to re-orient if it happens to be upside down when you pull it out of your pocket.

It's disabled if you use Zoomed mode.

Hopefully they'll improve on this with iOS 9.

Intentionally left out for sure. You can do it just fine on a 6 with a jailbreak.
