iPhone 6 light bleeding through silent button

Does anyone else see light coming from the backlight when they switch their phone to silent? Should I be worried about this?

I would bet everyone's 6 has it. In order to test it you would have to be in a pitch black room and it has to be set to vibrate.

Apple is getting cheap, very cheap. Light leakage should not be happening with today's technology.

Nope.

Well its nothing to worry about at all lol it doesnt affect anything and is relativly minor, as for threads like this i hate them lmao, now i found basically only flaw on my i6 and my OCD side of me gets to me a little lol, mine leaks a tiny bit if you look at it from the side , maybe over time a little dust buildup will cover it up and fill in there, but not really seriously at all

Light-leak-gate

Another scandal.

Although, to be fair, it does say the switch is for silence, not darkness. :D

Had my first phone exchanged for this issue. The Apple genius said its not suppose to be like that, and its an open door for dust to get in. I got a new phone.

Yeah it's a major bug! Take the phone back to Apple Store and have it replaced.

Actually. Only kidding. Stop looking for dopey issues and just use the phone

How the hell would anyone on the forum know how to diagnose your phone without seeing it

The voice of reason...

I have this problem to. I wonder if you still got the IMEI number of that phone which had the light leak because I have the same problem and I need to have evidence that this is a bad iphone out the box and that the problem has not occured by me. Please reply to me fast!

All the iPhone 6's I've seen or used have this issue. In order to test it, put your brightness on max, then cover the screen with your hand in a pitch black room and put the phone on silent and you will see a gap where it leaks.

Since I never use my phone in a pitch black room with my hand over the screen and the phone on silent, this doesn't sound like anything I need to be concerned with.

It is not a fully sealed phone. Why would this bother you? are you hoping to return it so you can try to get a better phone? It's not waterproof or made by NASA, so try not to let it bother you
