I apologize if this has already been answered, I can't find it using the search function. I know when formatting a disk you don't gain the full capacity of the disk but what I've lost seems a bit large. I have a iPhone 6 64gb SG, when I check under Settings/General/Usage I'm given the amounts of 13.0gb used and 42.6gb available (totaling 55.6gb). Is this normal or possibly a glitch from restoring from my previous iPhone's backup? Thank you for any help!

Quite normal. As the other said check it on iTunes and do not sweat the "other" size as there is little you can do about it.

Just relax and enjoy your phone

I have just shy of 56GB on my 64GB iPhone 6. My 64GB 3G iPad 2 has just shy of 57GB free. It makes sense that there would be less available on the 6 considering how much bigger the OS is.

Because with storage devices 1GB = 1000 MB instead of 1024MB, right off the bat, 64GB actually equals 62GB after you calculate the 24MB per GB difference. Then the OS is a few GB that takes up the rest of the space discrepancy.
