iPhone 6 messages suddenly not syncing with iMac or iPad.

Like the title said, this just started out of the blue. I've tried signing out of iMessage on all my devices, restarting my iPhone and I did a hard-reset and the problem still exists. Not sure what else to do at this point. Another odd thing is that a few of my contacts are being sent green texts and not blue. This is especially weird because they own iPhones. Someone please help because this all of this is driving me crazy.

Make sure iMessage is active on both devices. Also make sure the other device is in text message forwarding

I have an iPad 2. Can't seem to find Text Message Forwarding in the settings.
