I just had my iphone 6 replaced and this issue has arisen: No voice over some mic calls

I tested
Voice Calls - No Mic
Whatsapp Calls - No Mic
Skype - Mic is perfect
Facetime - Mic is perfect

Given the above, the issue cannot be hardware related. Permissions for Mic are OK, gave it a 'hard restart' as well as Reset all Settings.

What could be the issue?

Sounds like software problems to me. I haven't really had an issues with my iPhone, but I'm fairly certain in these types of situations they will ask you to do a hard reset, clearing all data and cache, and if that doesn't fix the problem, they'll replace your phone; since they don't know the source of the problem.

I was thinking the same thing but it turns out that the iPhone has several microphones that are used by different apps. So the mic which is used for voicecalls and memos etc does not work at all. That seems hardware. Had to take it back.
