iphone 6 plus app crashing video not working

i just upgraded my wifes phone from a 5s to a 6+, i set it up with restore from icloud backups.

i have tried every setting i can think of but 2 prevailing easily repeatable issues keep arising

1) all movies taken with the phone wont play afterwards. they show up in the the camera roll/photo app but when she presses the "play" sign, nothing happens

2) anytime she trys to open find my friends or look at the details in message app (for those people who would appear in find my friends) the app crashes. in the case of find my friends, it just never opens, for the message app, when she hits details the app crashes.



any ideas?

Have you tried restarting the iPhone?

I had issue 1 on my 6+ once, which was fixed by a restart.

Never experienced issue 2 though.

I'm having the non playing video issue on my 6. Restarting and hard reset not working. Any ideas? iOS 8 combined with iphone6/6plus has got to be the buggiest combo to date.
