Chances are this is just the app but I thought I would ask considering how much it is used. Often times when I start Facebook on my 6+ it goes very briefly to a black screen and then to the app. This also happens sometimes when coming back to the app from the lock screen.

Is this happening to anyone else or do I somehow have a hardware problem?

Well that is a relief, does it just stay on the black screen for like a half second and then pop over to the app? I really do not want to have to trek out to the store if there was a hardware problem if I don't have to.

I really hand't noticed it before I read this, but mine does go to a black screen first, maybe it has to do with the scaling?

Hopefully they will update for the new resolutions soon.

That was what I was assuming, hopefully, was happening that it just freaks out sometimes because the screen is huge.

Same. Figure it is Facebook's wonky way of upsizing it for the 6 Plus screen. Annoying but I'm sure it will be fixed soon whenever the app developers release an update for the new screen sizes.

Anyone else finding chopping scrolling within these scaled apps such as Facebook? I noticed slowdown elsewhere too, but I’m holding faith it’s an iOS 8.0 thing.

I've noticed some slight choppiness with non-optimized apps. Just got to wait for the updates to roll in.

I've been noticing this too when using Facebook. I thought I was the only one until I see this thread. Hopefully this is fixed soon.

Also hope they update facebook soon to be able to use it in landscape mode. I hate using it in portrait.

It not just happening on iPhone 6 Plus. This is a Facebook Universal App problem. I noticed this on my iPad 3 with a new update on app and iOS 8 update.

Also happening with my iPhone 5 and iPad Air. Nothing wrong with your phone. It's a bug in the latest version of the Facebook app.
